Professional Labeling & Packaging Services for Your Canned Goods

We apply labels and packaging to food products that other companies produce. A customer sends us filled cans or finished goods, tells us what needs to go on them and in what configuration, and we run the work through our production areas in Kent.

One point worth stating plainly, because it comes up in nearly every first conversation: customers supply the approved label artwork. Food labels carry regulatory content and legal responsibility, and that responsibility stays with the product owner. We handle application, not design or regulatory approval.

Seafood is Our Specialty, But We Don't Stop There

Our production work centers on canned goods, especially canned seafood. That includes brite cans — the industry term for cans that have been filled and sealed but not yet labeled. Brite cans are common in seasonal production, because a processor can run the pack while label decisions and customer assignments are still being finalized.

We also handle secondary packaging work on products that are already labeled, such as repacking into different case counts, applying promotional sleeves or correcting damaged outer cases.

When to Use a Contract Labeling and Packaging Provider

When to Use a Contract Labeling and Packaging Provider

Companies come to us for a fairly consistent set of reasons.

  • Production volume exceeds in-house labeling capacity during a season
  • Cans were packed brite and now need labels for specific customers
  • A customer requires a different label, case configuration or promotional pack
  • Packaging was damaged in transit and cases need recouping
  • A product needs relabeling because of an artwork revision or a market change
  • Inventory needs inspection and sorting before it can ship
  • Storage is needed before or after the production run
What We Need to Evaluate a Project

What We Need to Evaluate a Project

To tell you whether a project fits our equipment and schedule, we need the operational basics.

  • Product type and current condition
  • Can or package size
  • Case volume and pallet count
  • Approved artwork, or the expected timing for artwork approval
  • Packaging configuration required
  • Timing, including inbound arrival and required completion date
  • Whether product is already on site or needs to be received
  • Storage needs before, during or after production
  • Outbound requirements
Our Process

Our Process

We review the project against equipment compatibility, material requirements and current schedule. Once scheduled, product is received against an appointment and entered into inventory. Production takes place in dedicated areas within our Kent facility and runs against your written specification. Quality checks and traceability records are captured during the run.

Because production and storage share a building, labeling and packaging projects can include storage on either side of the run without trucking product between sites. Finished product moves to storage or straight to outbound, depending on your instructions.
